The Becoming Institute: Trauma Recovery Certificate Program

The Becoming Institute has introduced a 12-month Trauma Recovery Certificate Program designed for RNs, RPNs, and NPs, offering advanced psychotherapeutic training and a unique Afro-centric perspective.

This post-graduate program is aimed at developing culturally competent RN-Psychotherapists equipped to provide trauma-informed care.

• Program Start Date: January 2025
• Duration: 12 months
• Practicum: 1,000 hours of supervised practice
• Target Audience: Nurses, social workers, physicians, teachers, ministers, peer supporters, and mental health advocates
• Application Deadline: November 30, 2024

The program includes courses like Ubuntu: Afrocentric and Indigenous Ways of Knowing and Being, offering transformative insights into Afro-centric and Indigenous philosophies.
