Katrin currently works as the Director of Patient Services for the Outpatient Clinic Services Program and the Professional Nursing Practice Lead at Cancer Care Manitoba. Katrin graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Nursing and is currently taking her Master of Business Administration through the University of Fredericton with Innovation as her specialty. Katrin has diverse health-care experience and knowledge in acute adult medicine, critical care, travel nursing, and rural health. Also, Katrin has been a patient care manager in pediatric surgery, Acute Pain Service, pediatric day surgery, and pediatric ICU. As a nurse leader, she had led numerous quality initiatives alongside her team to improve patient services and patient experience. Katrin also worked as a mentor for IENs. Katrin believes in the importance of providing nurses with the right tools for their success and professional development, allowing them to influence safe practice, policy development, and process improvements.
