Opportunities for nurses related to Manitoba’s COVID-19 response
There are multiple opportunities available for Manitoba nurses who want to contribute to Manitoba’s COVID-19 response.
Are you a retired nurse still eligible for licensure or a nurse who is able to work additional hours?
The greatest needs currently exist in the following areas:
- Testing Sites
- Personal Care Homes
- Greatest needs are in those that are COVID-19 positive
- Measures are in place to limit the spread and protect residents and workers which include provision of appropriate PPE, increased environmental cleaning and disinfection, cancellation of group activities, increased screening, and cohorting residents if required
- Alternative Isolation Accommodation
- Contact Tracing
- Flu Clinics
- Health Links (requirement for higher EFT and longer term commitment due to the nature of the work)
Opportunities exist for full time, part time and casual within the COVID-19 Casual Pool. Assignment can be for a short time or for a longer period.
There are multiple opportunities available throughout Manitoba including Northern and Rural Manitoba.
