Association Emerging Leader Network member featured as Nursing the Future Trailblazer
This month, Association member Suzanne Guay was featured as a Trailblazer in the Nursing the Future newsletter. Suzanne is an active member of the Association’s Emerging Leaders Network advisory group. The Emerging Leaders Network is a unique space built for nursing students, new graduates and early career nurses where they can connect, support and inspire one another as they flourish professionally and develop as leaders.
New Emerging Leader Network events will be coming in the New Year. Watch your inbox for more details or find the information on our Emerging Leaders Network page.
Suzanne Guay, RN BScN
Churchill Health Centre, Churchill, MB
Suzanne Guay is an outstanding new graduate that I connected with through the Advisory Committee for the Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba’s Emerging Leaders Network (ELN) while she was both a nursing student and then as a new graduate. Suzanne was the lead for our popular and well-attended mock interview event and assisted and participated in almost all other events of the Emerging Leaders Network. Suzanne is hard working, well organized, committed, and very reliable. She is well spoken and extremely professional. Suzanne has been very involved with ELN, acting as a great advocate for the network and its benefits. She is our “go-to” person at the Red River Community college nursing program, rarely missed a meeting or event. During her education, she worked tirelessly as a Health Care Aide in the Emergency Department. Suzanne completed her senior practicum in the cardiac sciences program and secured a job in the same program before she took a position in Churchill, Manitoba. It is my privilege and pleasure to nominate Suzanne as outstanding new graduate nurse!
