The Association Announces the Departure of Interim Executive Director Karen Dunlop

It is with sadness and gratitude that the Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Board of Directors announces the departure of Interim Executive Director Karen Dunlop. Karen was a founding member of both the Manitoba RN Network and the Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (Association). In the role of interim executive director, Karen was tasked with establishing the Association and guiding it through the first year of operations; a role at which she has excelled.

“We thank Karen for her leadership, dedication and passion during this important stage of development of the Association,” says Margaret Rauliuk, Board Chair. “She has been a vital part of setting up the Association and has ensured that the success of the organization will continue as we move into the next chapter. We welcome the opportunity to work with a new executive director to build on the incredible foundation she has created.”

A search for an executive director will begin immediately. In the coming months, Karen will work the Board of Directors and the staff to ensure a smooth transition as a new executive director is identified.

We cannot thank Karen enough. She will be missed by the staff, Board, members and partners alike. While we will miss her and all that she has brought to the organization, we are incredibly proud of the role she will continue to play in healthcare as the Chair of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Board of Directors. We wish her well in all her future endeavours.
