Membership Information

Association membership includes three memberships in one: The Association, The Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) and professional liability protection from the Canadian Nurses Protective Society at a bundled rate.  With Association membership, you get discounted member rates for Association workshops & conferences; access to the member portal for online resources and support; our Perks for Nurses program; and much more

Annual membership

Association membership, including professional liability protection (CNPS) for Practising members, is active for the calendar year from January 1 at 12:00 am and expires December 31 at 11:59 pm.

For nurses that are currently on or applying to be on a practising register with the College.



For individuals that are no longer on a practicing register with the College.

Membership includes:


For RPNs and LPNs currently registered with their College.



For all healthcare professionals.



For individuals currently enrolled in an undergraduate nursing program.



Existing members can renew their membership by submitting a form by email or mail from our Forms page. 


Practising members – RN or GN              $180.85 + GST 
Practising members – NP                          $255.35 + GST 
Associate members - RPN or LPN           $138.65 + GST
Associate members - other                       $75 + GST 
Non-practising members                 $75 + GST
Student members                           $25 + GST

New applicants

Confirmation of professional liability protection for registration

When you become a Practising member with the Association our site will inform the College in real time that you have obtained the professional liability protection you need so your application for registration isn't delayed. 

Payment options

Only credit cards are accepted through the online system. All other forms of payment will need to be mailed to the Association or dropped off in-person. All payments must be accompanied by a completed application form.

Please note that as of July 4, 2017 the Association will no longer accept cash. Visa or Mastercard gift cards cannot be used with the online application, but will be accepted in our office.
