Membership

Renew for 2018 and continue to access the many benefits of membership including three memberships in one - The Association, The Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) and professional liability protection from the Canadian Nurses Protective Society at a bundled rate.  With Association membership, you get discounted member rates for Association workshops & conferences; access to the member portal for online resources and support; our Perks for Nurses Program; and much more. 

Annual membership

Association membership, including professional liability protection (CNPS) for Practising members, is active for the calendar year from January 1, 2017 at 12:00 am and expires December 31, 2017 at 11:59 pm.

Practising

Forr nurses that are currently on or applying to be on a practising register with the College.

Practising membership includes:

  • Professional liability protection
  • Membership in CNA

Non-practising 

For individuals that are no longer on a practicing register with the College.

Non-practising Membership does not include:

  • Professional liability protection
  • Membership in CNA

Student

For individuals currently enrolled in an undergraduate nursing program.

Student Membership does not include:

  • Professional liability protection
  • Membership in CNA

Renewal

Membership renewal is now open and will remain open until the end of 2017. Existing members can renew their membership online by logging into their member profile or by submitting a paper application to our office. Please visit the Renewal page for more information.  

Renew for 2018 

If you need to obtain professional liability protection as part of Association membership for the remainder of 2017 you can join by submitting a paper application to our office. 

 

New applicants

The Association is accepting new applicants for 2017 and 2018. If you are applying to be a graduate nurse or registered nurse for the first time and require professional liability protection for the remainder of the year you will need to apply for 2017 membership before renewing for 2018.

Confirmation of professional liability protection for registration

When you become a Practising member with the Association our sit will inform the College in real time that you have obtained the professional liability protection you need so your application for registration isn't delayed. 

Payment options

Only credit cards are accepted through the online system. All other forms of payment will need to be mailed to the Association or dropped off in-person. All payments must be accompanied by a completed application form.

Please note that as of July 4, 2017 the Association will no longer accept cash.
